Guys & Dolls is a 1950s musical fable with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. The story is of a gambler, Nathan Detroit an d his night club singer fiancee, Miss Adelaide, whose patience is wearing thin after 14 years of waiting. Nathan meets a fellow gambler, Sky, and bets him $1000 that he cannot take a girl (a ‘doll’) of his choice out for dinner. Full of self confidence, Sky agress, only to find the doll in question is the pious Sarah Brown.

The show includes memorable musical numbers such as A Bushel and a Peck, Luck be a Lady, Sit down You’re Rocking the Boat, and My Time of Day.
